COMPOSITION
BELPATANK is manufactured by MONTERO FyE S.A. from a core of
EPDM,externally coated with P.T.F.E filaments. Around the core,
this packing have a layer of glass fibres type "E" of
9 micron to avoid heat reaching the EPDM core so that it remains
resilient.
Around the layer of glass fibre, there is a braid of pure P.T.F.E.
( with FDA and BAM certification) to protect the product from chemicall
attack.
The combination of the design with special braid structure of this
packing provide it with optimal behaviour high pressures and also
high resistance to chemical attack.
The EPDM core makes the packing very flexible and will deform or
expand to fill slight irregularities. The braid has great recovery
and compressibility with optimal sealing capacity and minimun leakage.
Due to its great adaptability, the packing can be used in high-controlled-emissions
equipment.

APLICATIONS |
This packing is specifically designed for use in storage tank
and road and railtankers, to control vapor leakage.
Also used in trommels, mills, drums, digesters, pulpers and
equipment with low speed and problems of shaft a lignment.
On the whole, this packing can be used in the presence of acids
y alkalis ( even strong concentrations ), volatile hidrocarbons,
asphalt, bitumen, solvents and steam.
Good performance and long service life
of packings depend in large measure on fitting and operation
conditions over which we have no control. The data given on
this technical sheet are based in laboratory tests and should
not be used as application limits , but as guidance for an appropriate
